CASTING AND CREATIVE TEAM ANNOUNCED FOR WORLD PREMIERE STAGE ADAPTATION OF SIR LENNY HENRY’S BEST-SELLING CHILDREN’S BOOK THE BOY WITH WINGS

Playing at Polka Theatre from 21 June to 16 August, the cast of The Boy With Wings includes Adiel Boboye (Their Name Is Joy, Theatre Peckham) as ‘Tunde’, Millie Elkins-Green (The Light Princess, LAStheatre) as ‘Kylie’, Jessica Murrain (Wonder Boy, UK tour) as ‘Juba’, alongside Stephan Boyce (Richard II, Bridge Theatre) as ‘Aaven’, with further casting to be announced soon.

The Boy With Wings is brought to the stage with set and costume design by Laura McEwen (Oh No, George, UK tour), sound design by Khalil Madovi (Animal Farm, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Leeds Playhouse, Nottingham Playhouse), lighting and video design by Gillian Tan (Mind Mangler, Apollo Theatre, New York, Virgin Cruises, UK Tour), with movement direction from Gabrielle Nimo (Sleepova, Bush Theatre).

A PRODUCTION OF HAMLET RUNNING AT LEICESTER SQUARE THEATRE FROM 7 AUGUST – 21 SEPTEMBER 2025 FOLLOWED BY A UK TOUR!

Sh!t-faced Shakespeare® will be celebrating 15 years on the wagon by stomping all over one of the Bard’s most popular tragedies: Hamlet.

Featuring a cast of professional Shakespearean actors, this unique production takes an unpredictable twist each night as one performer is chosen to be deliberately intoxicated for up to four hours before showtime. The rest of the cast must then navigate the play, improvising their way through the unpredictable chaos that springs from their inebriated colleague’s booze-fuelled antics! What fun!

A ROLE TO DIE FOR TO TRANSFER TO LONDON THIS SUMMER!

It will run at Marylebone Theatre from Saturday 26 July until Saturday 30 August 2025.

This razor-sharp, laugh-out-loud comedy is Written by Jordan Waller and directed by Olivier Award winner Derek Bond, and transfers following its world premiere earlier this year at Cirencester’s Barn Theatre.

A Role To Die For is produced by DEM Productions, in association with Barn Theatre, Simon Friend Entertainment, and Bob & Co.

DIVORCED. BEHEADED. LIVE - IN JAPANESE!

SIX THE MUSICAL WEST END WELCOME JAPANESE QUEENS FOR A STRICTLY LIMITED RUN

Following sold out seasons in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya earlier this year, the critically acclaimed Japanese cast will take the stage at the Vaudeville Theatre, for one week only from Tuesday 4 to Sunday 9 November 2025, performing the show in Japanese (with English captions) for the first time in the UK.

The cast will be Sonim as ‘Aragon’, Meimi Tamura and Maho Minamoto alternating the role of ‘Boleyn’, Harumi as ‘Seymour’, Eliana and Marie Sugaya alternating the role of ‘Cleves’, Airi Suzuki and Erika Toyohara alternating the role of ‘Howard’, Sora Kazuki and Ruki Saito alternating the role of ‘Parr’.

They will be joined by Aoi Tanaka as Musical Director.

Due to existing scheduling commitments, original Japanese cast members Emiko Suzuki and Mahya Harada will not be appearing.

Performances go on sale at 10am on Wednesday 30 April.

JUSTIN EDWARDS WILL STAR AS ‘FRANK’ ALONGSIDE ELLIE CLAYTON AS ‘RITA’  

Written by Willy Russell, this Built by Barn production will be directed by Stephen Unwin, with set and costume design from Cory Shipp, lighting and sound design by Ben Ormerod and John Leonard respectively, Ginny Schiller will provide casting direction, and the sound programmer will be Michael Beer. Educating Rita is a Built by Barn production.

From iconic theatre numbers to distinctive reinterpretations of songs by Taylor Swift, and Elton John, and featuring guest performances from Laura Jane Matthewson and Tanisha Spring, the album reflects Muscato’s singular ability to blur genres and tell stories through song with authenticity, artistry and ease.

Fairfield Halls celebrate a win at The UK Pantomime Awards!

Last night The UK Pantomime Awards took place at New Victoria Theatre in Woking and we’re excited to share that the Barbara Windsor Award for Best Principal Lead went to the fabulous Mia Overfield who just starred in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs by UKP at Fairfield Halls, Croydon.

VESNA FEST! BRINGS THE SPIRIT OF UKRAINIAN SPRING TO WOOLWICH WORKS THIS MAY 🌸

This celebration of Ukrainian culture takes place May Bank Holiday, 2-5 May.

Woolwich Works will transform into a vibrant showcase of Ukrainian culture as it hosts the inaugural Vesna Fest! with a unique takeover by contemporary Ukrainian artists and a rich programme brimming with art, culture and conversation.

Festival-goers will be able to experience the vibrant sounds, tastes, and rhythms of Ukraine in an immersive experience to celebrate the country’s spring rituals.

CASTING ANNOUNCED FOR THE UK PREMIERE OF ‘TWO PINTS’ BY RODDY DOYLE AT THE BELGRADE THEATRE, COVENTRY 🍻

The UK Premiere Production of Roddy Doyle’s Two Pints is directed by Sara Joyce and is playing at the Belgrade from Friday 2 May until Saturday 24 May.

In their Dublin local, two old friends meet regularly for good conversation, good craic and more than a few good pints.

Playing the barstool philosophers are Anthony Brophy and Sean Kearns. The Belgrade team is excited to be bringing this moving and funny play by one of Ireland’s greatest writers to the Belgrade 🎭

🎭BELGRADE THEATRE COVENTRY ANNOUNCES 2025 AUTUMN/WINTER SEASON 🎭

Belgrade Theatre’s new season includes major new in-house and co-productions Consumed, After Sunday, and the return of the award-winning Belgrade pantomime, Sleeping Beauty.

The season also brings to the stage, amongst others, Party Girls, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Blood Brothers, Swan Lake and Friends! The Musical Parody.

Plenty for children and families this season too, including an adaptation of the award-winning children’s book The Littlest Yak.

Musical lovers rejoice! 🤩🎶 A new “New Musical” showcase, Before It Hits is bringing snapshots of six in-development musicals by some of the West End’s best-emerging writers to Upstairs At The Gatehouse for two nights only, on Friday 9 May and Saturday 10 May 2025.

Presented by BIG AND BRAVE and hosted by stand up comedian FARAH SHARP (named ‘One to watch’ in the Funny Women Awards and featured on BBC Radio 4) and created by the team behind Olivier-nominated The Choir of Man, expect to see a variety of exciting, diverse new shows at various stages of their development.

The first outing of Before It Hits is set to feature works by established West End writers, creatives and performers, and will include guest performances by Grammy-longlisted songwriter and MT Composer CAROLINE KAY.

Billy Porter will make his London directorial debut with THIS BITTER EARTH by Harrison David Rivers this summer!

Starring Omari Douglas and Alexander Lincoln, @bitterearthplay will run at Soho Theatre from 18 June to 26 July 2025.

This Bitter Earth is an intimate, romantic and gripping play about a young black writer and his white activist lover that asks “What is the real cost of standing on the sidelines?”
