ANNOUNCEMENTS

JOB OPPORTUNITY: PUBLICITY MANAGER

ANRPR is looking for an energetic, creative and highly organised

Publicity Manager to join our growing team.

We are an independent communications agency specialising in theatre, arts, culture and entertainment, working with an exciting mix of theatres, producers, cultural organisations, venues and live entertainment clients across the UK.

This is an opportunity for an experienced publicist to take real ownership of campaigns and client relationships within a small, ambitious and collaborative agency.

We're looking for someone with strong media instincts, excellent writing skills and established relationships across the media. You'll be comfortable managing several campaigns simultaneously, developing creative stories and angles, pitching confidently to journalists and working directly with clients.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is proactive; someone who thinks ahead, spots opportunities, keeps campaigns moving and enjoys taking ownership of their work.

THE ROLE

As Publicity Manager, you will:

• Lead the day-to-day delivery of publicity campaigns across a portfolio of theatre, arts, culture and entertainment clients

• Develop campaign plans, media strategies, stories and creative PR opportunities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, producers, editors and other media contacts

• Lead pitching across national, regional, trade, broadcast and cultural media

• Secure interviews, reviews, previews, features and other editorial opportunities

• Draft high-quality press releases, pitches, media briefings and other communications materials

• Act as a trusted day-to-day contact for clients

• Lead client meetings and provide proactive updates and recommendations

• Anticipate challenges and opportunities and keep campaigns moving forward

• Work collaboratively across the ANRPR team, delegating and briefing colleagues where appropriate

• Support and help develop junior members of the team

• Contribute ideas, media intelligence and industry knowledge across the agency

• Support new business opportunities and the continued growth of ANRPR

ABOUT YOU

You'll ideally have:

• Strong experience working in publicity, PR or communications, either agency-side or in-house

• A good understanding of the UK media landscape and established journalist relationships

• Experience managing publicity campaigns and client relationships

• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills

• Strong pitching instincts and the ability to identify compelling stories and angles

• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage several campaigns and deadlines simultaneously

• Confidence working independently and taking ownership of campaigns

• A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach

• A strong interest in theatre, arts, culture, entertainment and the wider media landscape

• A cultural curiousity, and stay informed about the latest industry developments and wider trends

Experience specifically within theatre or the arts would be an advantage, but we're equally interested in brilliant publicists from entertainment, music, festivals, consumer PR or other relevant sectors who can demonstrate strong media relationships, excellent judgement and a passion for culture.

WORKING AT ANRPR

We're a small team, which means everyone has the opportunity to contribute ideas, develop relationships, take ownership and play a meaningful role in the development of the agency.

We support flexible working, although the role requires regular availability in London for client meetings, press nights, events and other campaign activity.

There is clear scope for progression as ANRPR continues to grow, with the opportunity for a successful Publicity Manager to develop towards Senior Publicity Manager.

Full-time, permanent Salary: Competitive Flexible / hybrid working, with regular Central London attendance required
