The King’s Head Theatre and Elphin Productions are thrilled to unveil the full cast for Cinderella, the theatre’s first-ever family pantomime, coming this Christmas season. Drag Race UK star Ella Vaday (Nick Collier) takes the stage as Ugly Stepsister ‘Peckham,’ joined by ITV’s Mamma Mia: I Have a Dream contestant Maddy Erzan-Essien as the titular ‘Cinderella.’
Adding an extra layer of magic, Dame Judi Dench lends her vocal talents as ‘The Narrator,’ guiding audiences through this fresh and festive take on the classic tale.
Rounding out the cast, Harry Curley, a 2023 OFFIES Best Newcomer nominee, steps into the role of the other Ugly Stepsister, ‘Dalston.’ Joseph Lukehurst stars as ‘Prince Charming,’ with Verity Kirk as ‘Dandini’ and Robert Rees as the lovable ‘Buttons.’ Completing the cast, Lucia Vinyard joins as the whimsical ‘Fairy Codmother.’
Under the direction and writing of Andrew Pollard, Cinderella will feature set and costume design by Gregor Donnelly, lighting by Aaron J. Dootson, and puppetry crafted by Oliver Hymans. Musical supervision is led by Ben Barrow, with Hollie Cassar as assistant supervisor. The production team is rounded out by Dan Weager as production manager and casting directed by Marc Frankum.
